The story of Joseph being sold into slavery in Egypt is a well known story from the Hebrew Bible (Genesis 37). The Egyptians gave Joseph the unusual name Zaphenath-Paneah. We will explore the meaning of that name along with the story of Joseph to provide encouragement in support of our social justice work. (version française suit)

L’histoire de Joseph vendu comme esclave en Égypte est une histoire bien connue de la Bible hébraïque (Genèse 37). Les Égyptiens donnèrent à Joseph le nom inhabituel de Zaphenath-Paneah. Nous explorerons la signification de ce nom ainsi que l’histoire de Joseph pour encourager notre travail de justice sociale.
