In this interactive talk, Carlye Watson explores the simple yet transformative practice of “Yes, And,” drawn from improvisational theatre and aligned with the Conscious Leadership commitment to being curious rather than correct.
Through experiential exercises and stories, participants will reflect on how curiosity, openness, and building on one another’s ideas can strengthen connection, creativity, and understanding in our communities.
Grounded in Unitarian Universalist values of deep connection, radical inclusion, and active engagement, participants will be invited to explore and experiment with embodying a posture of curiosity to nurture relationships and navigate complex times together.

Dans cette présentation interactive, Carlye Watson explore la pratique simple mais transformatrice du « Oui, et… », inspirée du théâtre d’improvisation et de l’engagement du leadership conscient à privilégier la curiosité plutôt que le besoin d’avoir raison.
À travers des exercices expérientiels et des histoires tirées de la pratique, les participant·e·s seront invités à réfléchir à la manière dont la curiosité, l’ouverture et l’art de bâtir sur les idées des autres peuvent nourrir la créativité, renforcer les liens et approfondir la compréhension au sein de nos communautés.
Ancrée dans les valeurs unitariennes universalistes — connexion profonde, inclusion radicale et engagement actif — cette rencontre proposera d’explorer concrètement ce que signifie adopter une posture de curiosité. Ensemble, nous expérimenterons comment cette attitude peut soutenir nos relations et nous aider à traverser des temps complexes avec plus d’écoute, de collaboration et d’humanité.

About the Presenter
Carlye Watson is a leadership coach, trainer and facilitator who believes the world transforms from the inside out. For over fifteen years, she’s partnered with purpose-driven leaders and organizations, from the United Nations to local non-profits, to help them align who they are with the impact they most deeply aspire to create. She’s designed everything from strategic planning processes to teambuilding interventions in places spanning New York to Thailand. Carlye holds two Master’s degrees (Human Systems Intervention and International Development), is a certified coach and Red Team facilitator.
