Sunday Jan 11th, “Beginning Again for the New Year / Faire place au renouveau pour une nouvelle année” with Rev. Diane Rollert

This Sunday, we gather with Rev. Diane Rollert to begin again for the New Year by gently letting go of all that has weighed us down in the past year.

Through song and reflection indoors, we’ll create space for renewal and intention. We’ll then conclude our service outdoors with a brief, symbolic ritual—sharing a moment of releasing our burdens from 2025 and letting them go up in smoke.

The Reverend Diane Rollert served the Unitarian Church of Montreal for 18 years before retiring from full-time parish ministry a year ago. She continues to serve our national and international movements, working with ministerial students as the Canadian liaison to the Ministerial Formation Network, and as the UUA ambassador to the European Unitarian Universalists. She is co-founder of Coalition Inclusion Québec. A mother and grandmother, Rev. Diane lives in the Eastern Townships with her husband and two dogs.

Ce dimanche, nous nous rassemblons avec la révérende Diane Rollert pour recommencer la nouvelle année en laissant aller, avec douceur, tout ce qui nous a alourdis au cours de la dernière année.

À travers des chants et une réflexion à l’intérieur, nous créerons un espace de renouveau et d’intention. Nous conclurons ensuite le service à l’extérieur par un bref rituel symbolique — un moment pour libérer nos fardeaux de 2025 et les laisser s’élever en fumée.

La révérende Diane Rollert a servi l’Église unitarienne de Montréal pendant 18 ans avant de prendre sa retraite du ministère paroissial à temps plein il y a un an. Elle continue de servir nos mouvements nationaux et internationaux, travaillant avec les étudiants en théologie en tant que liaison canadienne auprès du Réseau de formation ministérielle et en tant qu’ambassadrice de l’UUA auprès des unitariens universalistes européens. Elle est cofondatrice de Coalition Inclusion Québec. Mère et grand-mère, la révérende Diane vit dans les Cantons-de-l’Est avec son mari et ses deux chiens.
