As neuroscientists learn more about the brain, they acknowledge that human memory is both slippery and hard wired. Gabriella Brand speaks of the role that memory can play in our daily existence. By consciously forging and cultivating positive memories can we bring greater meaning to our lives and to the lives of others.

Gabriella Brand is an educator, author, linguist, and counselor. Her writing appears in The Christian Science Monitor, the Globe and Mail, and in over fifty literary publications. She teaches languages and writing in the OLLI program at the University of Connecticut. A lay leader in the Unitarian tradition, Gabriella lives in Connecticut with her husband, the Reverend Douglas Peary.

DIRECTIONS: In the town of Stanstead, use the little border crossing (NOT Highway 55). Take Route 143 (Main St.) to the Derby Line Port of Entry at 84 Main Street. The First Universalist building is just past the border, on your right. BRING YOUR PASSPORT.
