DESCRIPTION:This Sunday\, we gather with Rev. Diane Rollert to begin again for the New Year by gently letting go of all that has weighed us down in the past year. \nThrough song and reflection indoors\, we’ll create space for renewal and intention. We’ll then conclude our service outdoors with a brief\, symbolic ritual—sharing a moment of releasing our burdens from 2025 and letting them go up in smoke. \nPlease dress warmly for this final portion of the service. \nWe look forward to beginning this new chapter together \nThe Reverend Diane Rollert served the Unitarian Church of Montreal for 18 years before retiring from full-time parish ministry a year ago. She continues to serve our national and international movements\, working with ministerial students as the Canadian liaison to the Ministerial Formation Network\, and as the UUA ambassador to the European Unitarian Universalists. She is co-founder of Coalition Inclusion Québec. A mother and grandmother\, Rev. Diane lives in the Eastern Townships with her husband and two dogs. \n~~~~~~~~~~~~ \nCe dimanche\, nous nous rassemblons avec la révérende Diane Rollert pour recommencer la nouvelle année en laissant aller\, avec douceur\, tout ce qui nous a alourdis au cours de la dernière année. \nÀ travers des chants et une réflexion à l’intérieur\, nous créerons un espace de renouveau et d’intention. Nous conclurons ensuite le service à l’extérieur par un bref rituel symbolique — un moment pour libérer nos fardeaux de 2025 et les laisser s’élever en fumée. \nVeuillez vous habiller chaudement pour cette dernière partie du service. \nAu plaisir de commencer ce nouveau chapitre ensemble\, \nLa révérende Diane Rollert a servi l’Église unitarienne de Montréal pendant 18 ans avant de prendre sa retraite du ministère paroissial à temps plein il y a un an. Elle continue de servir nos mouvements nationaux et internationaux\, travaillant avec les étudiants en théologie en tant que liaison canadienne auprès du Réseau de formation ministérielle et en tant qu’ambassadrice de l’UUA auprès des unitariens universalistes européens. Elle est cofondatrice de Coalition Inclusion Québec. Mère et grand-mère\, la révérende Diane vit dans les Cantons-de-l’Est avec son mari et ses deux chiens.

The series is designed to be accessible to newcomers\, while also inviting long-time members to reconnect with the heart of our faith. \nThe Unitarian Universalist Pocket Guide (7th edition) will serve as a touchstone for the series. Consider buying a copy\, or let a member of the leadership team know if you would like to borrow one. \nA reminder: winter services are held downstairs. Nous réfléchirons à l’aspect de l’amour universel qui caractérise la tradition soufie : un échange d’amour entre nous-mêmes et le divin\, célébré dans les magnifiques enseignements\, récits et poèmes de la tradition soufie.\n***\nWhat is Radical Love? We will reflect on the aspect of all-encompassing love that distinguishes the Sufi tradition— the exchange of love between ourselves and the divine that is celebrated in the beautiful teachings\, stories and poems from the Sufi tradition. \nJulie Richard fait parti des rares personnes francophones ayant découvert le mouvement unitarien\, et s’y est déposée pour rencontrer d’autres personnes curieuses de philosopher sur le sacré ensemble. Dans la vie\, elle est ostéopathe et se spécialise en viscéral\, en santé mentale et en soins palliatifs. Et tout autour\, elle s’immerge dans le chant\, les montagnes\, et la beauté des humains qui l’entourent. \nJulie Richard is one of the few francophone individuals who discovered the Unitarian movement and found her way there to meet others curious to explore and reflect together on the sacred. In her professional life\, she is an osteopath specializing in visceral work\, mental health\, and palliative care. Beyond that\, she immerses herself in singing\, the mountains\, and the beauty of the people around her.
