SUMMARY:Sunday May 5 - Annual Maypole service
DESCRIPTION:An annual tradition at UUEstrie\, we meet in the church parking lot to place and dance around the Maypole with colored ribbons. Celebrating the circle of life and the onset of Spring. \nThis will be an outdoor service. Please come prepared for the weather as we will remain outdoors\, rain or shine. \nFollowing the service\, there will be the “Pledge lunch” where the board will present a draft budget and distribute this year’s pledge forms. Members will also be voting on a capital expenditures proposal to replace the front door. \n—–\nTradition annuelle à l’UUEstrie\, on se retrouve dans le stationnement de l’église pour placer et danser autour du mât de mai aux rubans colorés. Célébrer le cycle de la vie et l’arrivée du printemps. \nCe sera un service extérieur. Veuillez vous préparer à affronter la météo\, car nous resterons à l’extérieur\, qu’il pleuve ou qu’il vente. \nAprès le service\, il y aura un « Déjeuner des promesses de dons » au cours duquel le conseil d’administration présentera un projet de budget et distribuera les formulaires de promesses de don de cette année. Les membres voteront également sur une proposition de dépenses en capital pour remplacer la porte d’entrée.

DESCRIPTION:First Universalist Parish of Derby Line will join us in North Hatley for a joint service. Camille and Nicole will guide our collective thinking about what it means to have a spiritual community\, how we each nurture this community\, and how we begin to weave our independent churches together in the spirit of Unitarian Universalism.  The service will be a combination of reflection and group discussion as we all dive into what “community” means. \n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  \nLa première paroisse universaliste de Derby Line nous rejoindra à North Hatley pour un service commun. Camille et Nicole guideront notre réflexion collective sur ce que signifie avoir une communauté spirituelle\, comment nous entretenons chacun cette communauté et comment nous commençons à tisser nos églises indépendantes ensemble dans l’esprit de l’universalisme unitarien. Le service sera une combinaison de réflexion et de discussion de groupe alors que nous plongerons tous dans ce que signifie « communauté ».
