DESCRIPTION:James Luther Adams observed that a congregation is where “we get to practice what it means to be human.” Sometimes this practice is especially challenging\, testing our covenant – or promise – of mutual support\, even in times of conflict. This service will reflect on living meaningfully into community\, no matter if we are in agreement or not. \nThe Rev. Heather Janules is a UU minister\, having served US congregations in Maryland and Massachusetts. She now serves as a member of Congregational Life Staff for the New England Region of the Unitarian Universalist Association while also pursuing a Clinical Mental Health Counseling masters degree through Antioch University. She is delighted to return to worship with the UU Estrie community! \n~~~~~~~~ \nJames Luther Adams a fait remarquer que la congrégation est le lieu où « nous pouvons mettre en pratique ce que signifie être humain ». Parfois\, cet exercice s’avère particulièrement ardu et met à l’épreuve notre alliance — ou notre promesse — de soutien mutuel\, même en période de conflit. Ce culte nous invitera à réfléchir à la manière de vivre pleinement au sein de la communauté\, que nous soyons d’accord ou non. \nLa révérende Heather Janules est une pasteure unitarienne universaliste qui a exercé son ministère auprès de congrégations américaines dans le Maryland et le Massachusetts. Elle fait désormais partie de l’équipe chargée de la vie des congrégations pour la région de la Nouvelle-Angleterre au sein de l’Association unitarienne universaliste (UUA)\, tout en préparant une maîtrise en counseling clinique en santé mentale à l’Université Antioch. Elle est ravie de retrouver la communauté UU Estrie pour un temps de célébration !
