DESCRIPTION:As we approach the days of longer sunlight in the northern hemisphere\, we reflect on the various traditions and symbolism at this time of year\, including celebrations dedicated to St. John/St-Jean-Baptiste in various countries. The symbol of the intentionally lit bonfire is potent\, but contrasts sharply with wildfires burning out of control. Together\, we ponder the delicate balance of the elements and lean into our beloved community at this difficult time. \nAmy Panetta\, MA\, a member and Lay Chaplain at UUEstrie\, has been providing the congregation with lay-lead services since 2019 with a particular focus on the special points around the earth-based wheel of the year. Amy is an American Canadian music educator and cultural researcher with expertise as an ethnomusicologist and genealogist. \nLa chaleur du soleil\, avec Amy Panetta.
