DESCRIPTION:Let’s meet at the Weller Farm hangar/dance hall. After a brief welcome and introductions\, participants can explore interest groups and activities highlighting the theme of self-sufficiency: from homesteading and organic gardening to innovative projects like pond construction\, drone programming\, and small-aircraft design. \nAt noon\, we’ll come together to share a potluck picnic\, either outdoors in the picnic area or indoors in the hall\, depending on the weather. \nPlease bring: \nA dish to share for the potluck \nFolding chairs (for mealtime and also useful for resting\, if needed) \nCuriosity and questions! \nAlso available on site: U-Pick garden and orchard. \nWe are especially fortunate to be joined by our current WWOOFer*\, Agnas from Hungary\, who brings a wealth of knowledge in fields ranging from electrobiology and plant science to laser technology. She will also share her personal story of growing up in Hungary\, first under Soviet influence\, through the democratic transition into NATO membership\, and into the challenges of the present political climate. \nIn addition\, it’s worth remembering that Unitarianism itself originated in 16th-century Transylvania\, then part of Hungary. Agnas may be able to answer questions about that historical connection as well. \n*For those who don’t know: A WWOOFer (Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms volunteer) is a traveler who helps on organic farms in exchange for room\, board\, and learning experiences. The Weller family has hosted WWOOFers from all over the world\, making this gathering a unique opportunity for cultural exchange\, learning\, and conversation. \nJoignez-vous aux membres et ami·e·s des Églises UU de Derby Line et de North Hatley pour une rencontre spéciale à la ferme Weller.  Après un accueil et des présentations\, nous explorerons des activités autour de l’autosuffisance : du jardinage biologique aux projets innovants. À midi\, partageons un pique-nique communautaire (potluck). \nÀ apporter : un plat à partager\, des chaises pliantes\, curiosité et questions. \nSur place : autocueillette\, échanges culturels avec notre WWOOFer hongroise Agnas\, et beaucoup plus ! \nWeller Farm.png\nDirections:\nAfter partially driving on dirt roads\, you’ll arrive at 4945 ch Stage Road in Stanstead\, QC.  Turn into the small parking lot and continue up an incline (see the orange highlighteron the map above).  Be sure to take a right when the trail splits off and you will be able to park where you see the hangar building which houses the dance floor; this is the meeting place! \nAprès un trajet en partie sur des chemins de terre\, vous arriverez au 4945\, chemin Stage\, Stanstead (QC). Entrez dans le petit stationnement et continuez à monter la pente (voir la section orange sur la carte ci-dessus). Au croisement du sentier\, prenez bien à droite : vous pourrez vous stationner près du hangar\, où se trouve la piste de danse. C’est là que nous nous retrouverons !
