DESCRIPTION:Throughout his career\, Bob Dylan’s songs have been suffused with Biblical imagery. Based on the three spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 13:13\, Stuart will explore this theme and illustrate it with samples from Bob’s albums and live performances. \nGraduated from Glasgow\, Stirling and McGill universities\, Dr. Stuart J. McKelvie taught psychology and conducted research at Bishop’s University from 1972 until 2013. \nStuart likes sport\, exercise\, photography\, reading\, haikus and limericks but\, since the early 1960s\, he has avidly listened to\, followed and read about Bob Dylan. Following Dylan’s 2016 award of the Nobel Prize in Literature\, he has given numerous presentations about Bob’s work. \n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ \nTout au long de sa carrière\, les chansons de Bob Dylan ont été imprégnées d’imagerie biblique. S’appuyant sur les trois dons spirituels mentionnés dans 1 Corinthiens 13:13\, Stuart explorera ce thème et l’illustrera à l’aide d’extraits d’albums et de concerts de Bob. \nDiplômé des universités de Glasgow\, Stirling et McGill\, le Dr Stuart J. McKelvie a enseigné la psychologie et mené des recherches à l’Université Bishop’s de 1972 à 2013. \nStuart apprécie le sport\, l’exercice physique\, la photographie\, la lecture\, les haïkus et les limericks\, mais depuis le début des années 1960\, il écoute\, suit et lit avec passion Bob Dylan. Suite à l’attribution du prix Nobel de littérature à Dylan en 2016\, il a donné de nombreuses conférences sur son œuvre.
